My parents are 85. And have lived together independently in Brighton but mums recent illness has made her incapacitated and she is reliant on assistance and she has fallen at night. She is currently making  good progress but has been diagnosed recently with Vascular Dementia/ Alzheimers.  Dad has no cognative issues but is frail and has recently had cataract surgery which means he can't bend or lift so he needs help to care for Mum and look after the house in general.  Many years ago Mum underwent a double mastectomy.
